We support all the industry standard prepress applications
for both Macintosh and PC platformsincluding Pagemaker,
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark Xpress, Freehand
and Framemaker. Corel Draw is supported on the PC platform
only as exported EPS files with fonts outlined. Clients
with MS Word, Powerpoint and Publisher documents must
provide us with a press-ready Acrobat PDF file. See
our Sending Files page for details
on making press-ready Acrobat PDF files.
DIGITAL FILES
Master files should be provided with a separate folder
for all screen and printer fonts used and another folder
for any bitmap or vector imports used. If you are emailing
your files or sending them via ftp, make sure they are
compressed using Stuffit (Mac) or Zip (PC) into one
archive to protect them against corruption. Send only
files used in your master document, a README file if
you have any instructions for us, and a screen resolution
PDF file as your proof. If you are bringing your files
to us, we accept the following media formats: ZIP100,
ZIP250, CD, DVD-R, JAZ, Floppy.
FONTS
Make sure you provide all screen and printer fonts or
truetype fonts used in your document. Avoid assigning
type attributes (bold, italic, bold italic); instead,
use the correct font. (This will avoid using type styles
without actual screen and printer fonts.) Avoid Multiple
Master fonts. If you are using Illustrator, Freehand
or Corel, zero out the snafu factor by outlining your
fonts.
GRAPHICS
Bleeds: Any image or solid that bleeds
off the page must extend at least 1/8 (.125).
